Millbrook Garden Club’s Fall event is more than an unforgettable experience. Held to raise money for the Club’s Civic and Scholarship Fund, our event supports important, not-for-profit organizations committed to the enhancement of our local communities. We are proud to announce that last year these funds benefitted the Cary Institute, Housatonic Valley Association, Innisfree Garden, Northeast Community Center, Audubon Sharon and Sharon Land Trust.

[1] COCKTAILS FOR 25 AT STONEWOOD FARM
Hosted and donated by owners Tom Kopfensteiner and Ken Holzberg, to be scheduled at a mutually agreeable date in 2019                                

Value:  A magical Millbrook evening with your good friends, delicious food and drinks, all on this gorgeous certified-organic flower and vegetable farm!

[2] DINNER FOR 8 AT THE “HOME OF THE PRESIDENT”
(our MGC president, that is!)  A gourmet dinner hosted by Lea and Jim Cornell, with perfectly paired wines from their cellar

[7] CURATED TOUR OF THE CLARK ART INSTITUTE IN WILLIAMSTOWN, MA + LUNCH
A senior curator will lead six lucky people through this museum which features an extraordinary collection of European and American art spanning the Renaissance to the early 20th century. Lunch will follow at the Museum Cafe. Donated by Katherine and Frank Martucci

Join this author, horticulturist, garden designer and co-founder of the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days for a stroll through her private garden, “Church House,” in Falls Village, CT followed by a lovely lunch at her home.

[10] GUIDED BIRD WALK AT AUDUBON SHARON
Six people will enjoy a 2 hour personalized bird walk with Eileen Fielding, Director of the Audubon Center in Sharon, CT.  For birders of any level, ages 6 to adult. A picnic breakfast or brunch for the group will follow the walk.  Event to be planned on a mutually agreed date in Fall 2018 — the perfect opportunity to watch and learn about Fall migration patterns.  Donated by Audubon Sharon

[11] PRIVATE TOUR OF CENTRAL PARK LITERARY STATUES
Join G.A. Mudge (aka “Moby”) for a 1 ½ hour tour to learn all about his favorite literary statues in Central Park. He is the author and photographer of two well-recognized books on the subject. Date for the tour to be mutually agreed upon.  Donated by Moby and Sis Mudge

Offered at $50/participant with a maximum of 10 slots

  • Pre-bidding begins Saturday September 1 at 9:00 AM We anticipate that the garden tours, cooking class and Central Park statue tour may sell out quickly. Reservations for those slots will be taken on a first come/first served basis. When the places are filled that item will be closed!
  • You will receive an email confirmation from Harriet that your bid has been received or your reserved spot has been secured. If you do not receive confirmation and are in doubt, please contact Harriet to confirm. She will be juggling a lot so the onus is on you to make sure you’re all set.
  • Pre-bidding ends Friday September 7 at 9:00PM All Silent Auction items (except any that have already been filled) will be available for continued bidding during the evening at Wethersfield. All bidding will end at 6:30PM at the event.
  • Payment for Auction items We will accept cash, check or credit card at Wethersfield. If you are the highest bidder by the end of the evening but are not at the event, have no fear; we will be in touch to let you know how to pay up!
